Your Cancer
Response Team
Hammeras Group is making unprecedented progress in our complex patient cancer experience through collaborative relationships between hospitals, cancer patients, and researchers nationwide. Through education and collaboration, we hope to transform patient outcomes, support the cancer community’s ability to collaborate and share data, and, most importantly, educate the public to be a little more prepared.
Candy hammeras, Founder
Candy Hammeras is the Founder and Principal of Hammeras Group. A respected healthcare leader with varied high-level hospital experience, her focus is on patient navigation for the most complex cancers in patients of all ages. Ms. Hammeras recognizes that this is a sadly overlooked niche and has become known for her compassion for patients with cancer and connectivity to physicians and leading facilities in the U.S. For the past eight years, the advocacy services of Hammeras Group have been contracted with UCLA to assist patients with complex cancers and rare diseases. Prior to founding Hammeras Group in 2010, Ms. Hammeras served as Director of Hospital Relations at CHOC Children’s, Director of Guest Services at Irvine Medical Center, and Director of Physician Relations at Hoag Hospital. Ms. Hammeras authored a Patient Relations workbook for hospitals, “There Is a Difference Between Customer Service and Patient Relations.” She produces cancer events to educate the public to be “just a little more prepared.” Ms. Hammeras is a sought-after speaker, educator, and advocate.
